Description of service(s) An emergency food service. Recipients may receive food once per month, exceptions made for emergencies. 
 
A member of the New Brunswick Association of Food Banks and the Canadian Association of Food Banks. 
 
Provides Christmas Food Hampers delivered to each needy home, along with hats and mittens. 
 
Action Ministries, with the help of donations, offers an opportunity for children to attend summer camp. This service is available to children who would otherwise not be able to attend camp. If you wish to sponsor a child for $200.00 or make a donation, contact Tammy Brown, Marilyn Cary or any Grand Manan Pastor. 
 
Community Chaplaincy: Visitation to local individuals in their homes, hospital (both here and on the mainland), as well as regular Nursing Home visits. Support is also offered to the families of these individuals. Contact the Island Chaplain Ruth Fair-Parker at 506-321-9772/
Hours Food Bank hours are Tuesday and Friday 1pm - 3pm

Application When you visit a food bank, you will be asked for information about your income, your address and your expenditures. It is important to bring the following:  
 
Identification for all family members  
Proof of your current address 
 
This information is asked the first time you visit the food bank. You will not be required to bring it at each visit but we recommend that you bring a piece of identification each time.
